United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) invitied designers around the world to create an official logo for the World Environment Day (WED) campaign 2015. The logo designed by Shibin KK selected as the best among 300 entries recieved from 70 countries.

He was born to K. Karunan, Retired Pharmacist and Prasannakumari C. P. at Koorara, Thalassery.

Earlier On 5 March 2009, when the Indian government announced a contest to create a sign for the Indian rupee, he contested for the same and he was among the final five whose symbols were shortlisted.

He is a Freelance Graphic Designer. In the past he had worked at Govt. Vocational Higher Secondary School, (GVHSS) Chirakkara as Computer Science teacher. He has won many online logo design contests. Made hundreds of logos for companies all over the world during his Bangalore career as well as when he was working as a teacher.

He completed his graduation from M.G.G.A College, Mahe and Post Graduation from University of Calicut.

His wife, Maya is a Higher Secondary Teacher, Peralassery GHSS.
